About

Technology for a lower-carbon chemicals, fuels and value-added products.

Decarb Technol Carbon (DTC) is a Qatar-based climate technology and advanced materials company focused on developing practical carbon utilization technologies that create value from industrial emissions and process streams.

Building on the CARGEN® technology foundation with our partner Houston-based Decarb Technol Inc. (DTI) company, to support carbon conversion, catalyst and process development, carbon nanotube materials production, syngas integration, engineering and application development in exisiting plants.

Our Story

From CARGEN® research to DTC's technology development program.

CARGEN® established the scientific and engineering foundation. DTC is now advancing that platform toward industrial feedstocks, material performance, pilot readiness and real collaboration opportunities with research, industrial and application partners.

Research foundationCARGEN® converts carbon emissions (carbon dioxide, light hydrocarbons or flue gas) to carbon nanotubes and a valuable precusror hydrogen-rich syngas (a mixture of carbon monide and hydrogen).

Technology Process

From carbon-rich emissions to useful products.

The CARGEN® technology pathway converts carbon-containing gas emissions into solid carbon and syngas. DTC is advancing this foundation toward industrial feedstocks, higher-value carbon materials and future deployment.

DTC process diagram showing carbon-rich streams entering the CARGEN reactors and creating solid carbon and syngas outputs
High-level CARGEN® conversion pathway from carbon-rich feedstocks to carbon products and syngas.
1Inputs — relevant methane and CO₂-containing streams are brought into the technology pathway.
2Reactor 1 — the CARGEN® reactor initiates carbon conversion and forms solid carbon and hydroegn rich syngas.
3Reactor 2 — the tri-reforming stage supports further conversion and improving syngas co psotion for low-carbon methanol, ammonia, fuels and value-added chemicals.
4Solid carbon outputs — outputs can include bulk carbon and carbon nanotube materials.
5Syngas pathway — the H₂/CO syngas stream can support downstream energy and chemical pathways.
